I doubt it would be caused by the elimination of the AC compressor. You give the rpm range but does it appear at a certain speed and then go away? In that case, it could be a balance problem such as a tire out of round or an unbalanced wheel or even brake rotor. If this is happening you need to find an experienced alignment shop and you may need to balance the wheel while it is on the car. If your problem does not manifest itself at a certain speed and then go away, then you need to look at engine related things.
