I started to design a two stage system.

I had a hydraulic pump kick in at 1500 RPM or less with a manual kill switch. Then I got a rack from an SVT or SVO mustang ( one of those is right )

Basically, the power steering could be turned on or will turn on for parking and such, but be off on the road to give you that wonderfull sensitivity on the highway.

The pump Killed it, weighed like 60 pounds and cost too much. And, I looked into putting an electric motor on the engine install unit...NO ROOM.

Just a little added info.

If you are intersted, I still have the pump ( engine mounted 1971 unit ) and the SVO or T PS rack if you want to buy them.

Let me know, PM.
