Power steering?

what next, I thought, automatic? ;-)

I understand why one would like one, but there is more to why your car steers heavily.

- old tires
- small steering wheel
- lot's of castor
- big scrub radius (as in wheel center too far out of line drawn down from upper balljoint to lower)

- wrong steering ratio
- try higher tire pressure?

what else? worn out parts?

I see a lot of racing cars nowadays using pwr steering, like the german DTM.
I don't know why.
how about Nascar?
