Bob,
Just a suggestion,,,,
It has been my expierence, to set the engine in place with your hoist, but when you hang it, hang it with more rear weight.
Then, when you are close, put a floor jack under the bell housing and raise and lower both the engine hoist and or the floor jack.
This will enable you to set your oil pan height, hood clearence, and front to rear measurements.
