i install a fire proof aluminized heat shielding on the foot boxes of the cars i do i glue it with 3m #08090 super trim adhesive . i have installed it on the engine side of the foot boxes and it works great even with all the heat generated from the headers i have never had any problem with it comming unglued try aircraft spruce for the material ,regards,jerry
