I used the standard VN tank but as you say its not a dropin fit. I had to make my own straps and created my own mounting bracket. One side I was able to use Ians M8 insert but the other side I came up with my own arrangement. I will try & post pic's soon. I also used 25mm rubber around the flange of the tank which locates up into the frame of the chassis & covered the topside of the tank with 25mm rubber to prevent knocking or rubbing of tank on underside of boot area.
