I had the same problem with my Edelbrock manifold. I ended up pulling the manifold and having the hole tapped bigger. I probably could have rigged up some kind of adapter but since the hole is smaller than the sending unit, the adapter would have been above the surface of the manifold and stood out like a "sore thumb." Who wants a 2 or 3 inch stack of brass fitting adapters sitting above the manifold? Yuck.
