Jess, I see you came to the same conclusion as me
'What the?'
I mounted my tank as far to the right as I could with the rear lip under the rear RHS and the front lip pressed up under the two tabs behind the diff.
I then modified each of the straps so that they bolted to the outside of the rear RHS and using a couple of modified tool box latches welded to the straps and their catchs welded to the chassis fixed them that way.
I haven't as yet taken any photos but I'll post some on the weekend.
