We have a standard aluminum firewall now. I'm pretty sure that it can be retrofit to your car. We also insulate the footboxes with aluminum-skinned foam insulation. On our finished cars, we rivit aluminum strips around the edges so that it doesn't peel back over time.
There is, however, some pretty nice waffle'd stainless-steel-over-silicone-insulation that's also available. Just be careful during installation. I've lost a lot of blood in the process.
