Jay,
The pin holes for the saddle centers on our jig for the frame rails are at 444 mm center/center per a measurement
verified by the welder that I made at the Surrey shop in 1971 and verified when I was there for resto parts and a LOTUS shop visit.
You can force the 0.75" pins and saddles during the welding stress back and forth a few mm in dimension, so no biggie if it varies, and AC using gas welding didn't control it any better in the early 60's I assure you.
