We used to get them in the sump-pump tank when I was building the house. Do you have a ground water tank in the basement or crawl space??? They love those things as the water is stagnent for long periods of time.

How can you have mesq. in your house from the septic tank, that does not make sense. The septic system has to be a sealed system. If it wasn't you'd be sick all the time.
