The manual states 1988 - 2000 for steering rack, what you need is one from MH-ML Barina whick I think is 1988-1995 (approx)
The Suzuki was made a little longer than the rebadged Holden so a 2000 Suzuki colomn may be correct.

Regarding the fuel tank I had a V6 tank but have decided I want an alloy tank as I am not real keen on the look with the straps under the tank.
The V8 tank is slightly larger than the standard V6 tank but the larger tank could be optioned into the V6, also as stated the V8 tank does run a larger (higher flow rate) fuel pump.
I really dont think the fuel pump is an issue if you are only useing the standard pump as a supplier to a surge tank.
