It could not have come like that...just because a block is mfg in 1969 doesn't mean it will assemble in 1969...one good instance, a block mfg in Sept of 1969 will wear a C9 date, but a head design may be current to the model year...D0, since the model year changes over in August, the C9 block may very well end up in a 1970 car with 1970 heads. Now, this cannot be reversed....a D0 casting CANNOT be original to a 1969 car, so your heads had been swapped at some point.
