Use of Synthetic Oils
Crower does not recommend the use of synthetic motor oils in any racing applications, particularly hydraulic and flat tappet camshafts. Crower was big on Kendall GT-1 20w-50 Racing
Oil until it was reformulated a couple of years ago and doesn't contain the same additive package.
I know Crower's site still recommends Kendall but, if you talk to Dave Crower, he's been saying to use the Schaeffer's Supreme 7000 20w-50 Racing oil. But, yes Crower is dead set against synthetics.
