Have you taken a look at kitcar.com? I was checking it out last night. 15 Superformance cars, from 38K thru 64K. Some super prices. 3 Kirkhams, FIA Hybrid 82K, 2 427SC 94 & 97K. Other completed kits, CR, EM, Hurricane, etc some starting around 20K. You ought to check it out. Many times it's cheaper to get one finished then to build it yourself. Just make sure if you live in California you'll be able to register the car.
Odds are pretty good, someone on this site will know something about the car your looking at. If you find one you like, before you go to check it out, see if you can get one of these fine Club Cobra gents to accompany you and help you out.
