Default It's a breather
At least that's what the one on the shifter plate is, and this is the same thing. Not sure why it would have another breather in this location.

I filled the tranny with Red Line to the bottom of the filler hole on the side. Assume that's the right level.

Leak started after the weekend at Roebling Road so it was getting hard use. However, I then drained and replaced the fluid and that's when I noticed the leak.

Any ideas if filling to the bottom of the filler hole is too much fluid?
