How different are low speed maneuverability and high speed stability between the Subaru rack and the modified Mustang unit?

For the street driver, do you have a preference?

Thought I read somewhere it was in the planning stages, but did ERA ever get a chance to test electro-mechanical variable assisted steering systems?
