Around 20 years ago, I went to a car spares shop to buy some "bullet connectors".
The chap behind the counter looked confused for a minute,
until I described the form & function.

I needed 20, so I went to another shop, and asked for "dog`s d1ck" connectors. Again, a moment`s confusion, then:
