I tried the bullets, they worked for a small while, fell off/came off.

Went back and soldiered the wires directly to the brass rings. Been great since.

BTW, Harbor Freight or any other China dump house, will have a four piece "pick" set. These four little tools are the nut for getting at the bulb and putting the rubber in place. I added the pick set to the travel tool box for popping the lens and changing bulbs.

If you color code the wire like the back of a lot of cars, you can use heavier trailer tape wire.
