You probably don't have the u-shapred metal tube running across the top fo the carburetor. This prevents fuel from spilling from the vent tube into the carburetor during heavy braking. You likely have the usual vertical tube toward the aft end of your carb. When my engine stalled under heavy braking, I added a short length of rubber hose to the vent tube to make it taller. That solved the problem. Of course you wouldn't want that rubber hose to come loose while driving and go into the engine.
