I am not sure how your hood is constructed, but on an ERA you can make a piece that slides between the fiberglass hood frame and hood skin. Cut out the piece close to the shape you need, then you can slit it from the scoop hole then to the rear of the piece. Then you can overlap the rear a little bit to put a crown in the piece to match the hood skin. Use .025 aluminum so you can form it easily.

Here is a photo of an ERA with one installed. If you do not have the 'glass inner frame, you may be able to use the scoop rivets if your scoop is rivetted on.
