Yes, I did wash out the inside of the lens (not the halogen bulb). The inside of my lenses had somehow gotten a yellowish film on the inside. In a large bowl I mixed really HOT water and dish washer (machine) detergent (a small blob) and then poured that back and forth in between the two lenses.
