I see you have joined the fuel sender club. I think there are two camps. Those that don't seem to have any problem with the original sender and those that despise the original. I happen to be in the latter camp. I am the proud owner of an original version that showed either full or empty no matter how much fuel. When I took it out and manually moved the float it seemed to work well, but it was not reliable in the tank. I just didn’t trust it in the end.
After reading posts in this site, I purchased the ISSPRO RA9506. It’s a 6” unit that is as close to fitting the B&B tank as there is, I guess. It seems to be better, but not perfect. Some of the same issue as the original. One caution is that we have to match the resistance of the gauge with the sending unit.
