I understand Austin healey hinges can also be a choice, but learnt this only through talking with a cobra builder that hadn't progressed too far with the project.

On the immobilisers can anyone indicate if the AU's standard equipment meets these requirements? Also does this system tie into the car's key and ignition barrel or via some other means?

I ask this as I pick up my engine/box on Friday and am getting the ignition barrel thrown in but the car (wreck) didn't come with any keys. Its the smartlock/smartshield system I have already read about through this forum so am already wary.

Please explain!
