I agree, it would be reasonable that you'd get a better reading in the engine compartment. After talking to Tom Kirkham, I think I may have to scrap the whole system anyway. He says my -10 lines are too small for my 427S/O, and the thermostat is not needed. Says that he's always just run -12 lines without the t-stat, and has been fine. Anyone else want to chime in with their experience?

Coventry made the originals,eh? Well, I may have to stall awhile before I buy my third oil cooler. I don't think the wife would understand the purchase of yet another one.
