I don't see how anyone can drive a high powered car with an automatic ON THE STREET OR ROAD COURSE....unless it has a manual valve body!!
I put a blower on my '04 Mercury Marauder and got sideways with an unexpected downshift on a damp road......scared the HELL out of me!!
It takes a long time to get used to the upshift and downshift patterns so I think any manual tranny is better in a powerful car...especially a lightweight COBRA!!
