I had Fuel Saft build me a custom unit for my CR. I had to later open it up and insert a collector (see attached) and mount my fuel pump lower to avoid the same issue you speak of. If you are running an electric pump, you have to get it low - preferably at the bottom of the tank. Lastly, raising the fuel level in the carb helps too.
