For a B&B, I think your stuck going under the frame. One innovative solution I saw in the forum was a manufactured pipe, rectangular in cross section, that was manufactured by the guys welder when the welder saw the hose under the frame. I assume it had at least the same cross sectional area as the hose. Since it was steel it was stronger than the hose and since it was wider than it was tall, it allowed more gound clearance.
