The ford 8" rears seem to be all the rage at the moment.
They are cheap and apparently very strong, Geelong Diffs would be able to help you out. As for the gearbox why not a 5 speed? The Castlemaine Rod Shop will supply a conversion bell housing for just about anything.
Just a thought.
