Trying to help a friend with his 427 fairlane, we pulled the (2) holley 450 mech. sec. two times, disassembled and checked carefully, reinstalled, started and while idling, sprayed starter fluid around the base of both carbs, did not speed up, sprayed in the valve cover
oil filler and still nothing. Adjusted timing and still no luck. When backing off idle screw from 1800rpm, engine just dies like it's out of gas?. Feedback welcome.
