I can't believe that your slave is fully retracted--take it loose from the lever and see if you can bottom it out further--if so you just probably need to make a longer rod to attach to the lever--

IF YOU CAN"T bottom it out further , make sure that your master cyl freeplay is adjusted correctly so that the fluid can reenter the master(if the master isn't fully released, the slave can't retract)

What master and slave do you have?
