hey Steve, Yes I am a downhiller. I am currently in NY about 20 minutes away from Diablo freeride Park, but I mostly have riden XC for the past 14 years. I most say though if you are in Georgia and haven't riden in the Ellijay area you are missing out. I don't know if you still ride Mountain bikes but if you do the cuple hour trip north for you would be well worth it. I took many trips to that area including Tsali in NC and can't wait to get back.
