The one I modify is the steel base. Once you have the carb hole moved I just tack weld it back it place. Basically I cut out the carb hole in a rectangle with the hole closest to one end then just turn it around and weld it back. Then I use 1/4" rod and bend it to fit the top of the air cleaner.
