Hi guys,
I was thinking of a nice east end ramble one day during the labor day weekend. Western LI Cobras could meet at the LIE exit 51 rest stop, then everybody meet at the Mattituck car museum at the Mattituck airport (I'll have to make prior arrangements with the owner). Then we can take the ferry to Shelter Island and have lunch at the Ram's Head Inn (again reservations would be required). Then take the ferry again to Sag Harbor, short stop at the old Bridghampton racetrack for a photo op, then home westbound on 27W Sunrise or LIE to points west. A 10 AM target at Mattituck should get us all home by 3 PM. Being a big holiday weekend, I don't know how difficult it would be to get something setup at the Ram's Head Inn but it may be worth a shot.
