With 9:1 you will have no problem running 8-10 lbs of bbost, just get a timing controller. The Paxton kit would be my choice.

When I was looking to get a Paxton blower for my 351W, I called Paxton and talked to a tech guy who told me 9.0 was the highest CR I could have on my engine and still run 5 lbs of boost without having serious concerns about blowing a head gasket or worse.
