FWIW some of the early 427 blocks like yours can be overbored .060 and live a happy life. I'd have it sonic mapped and see then what your dealing with. The crack can be fixed. Sometimes if they is one freeze crack there are others. You can mag the block to see how bad it is. Is the .060 bore fresh or was it run like that? What's the condition of the bores now? Taper, scratches etc...? Sorry for such a late response here.
