If the Chrysler small block of the era had the distributor mounted in the front like the 260 and 289 Fords maybe the car might have survived longer?
It was a real treat changing plugs in the one I had. You needed to remove a panel on the left and right upper side of the trans tunnel to access the rear plugs. A rust free one at $25-$30K would be a great toy. Mine was trouble free (even the electrics) and while snug for me at 6'4" once inside all seemed fine.
