Actually, that serial number belongs to an independent 289 drag Cobra that was owned by Norman Gray. According to the SAAC Registry, "Gray hooked up with Joel Rosen of Motion Performance" back then, but the car pictured is Joel's own Cobra, serial number still unkown. When I last talked to Joel, he'd love to find out where his car is now. If anyone has any leads, please let me know.
Incidentally, the picture came off the shelbyford.com web site. I found the original print on eBay a few years ago. It's small, only 3 x 4" in size. See
