Write your firing order down like this;( Lucky FE's all have same firing order)
1 5 4 2
6 3 7 8
Now when the valves on #6 cyl are 'rocking' ( ex closing/ in opening ) set the lash on # 1 valves, turn crank 1/4 turn clockwise and set #5 (#3 rocking), and so on. When you get finished on #2 the next set of 'Rocking' valves will be #1 to set #6. Use a marker pen to check off each valve after you have set it, when you have 16 marked valves your done!
Go on have a go, If you set them at the recommended lash you can never get one too tight, only too loose, and you will hear that.
