Ok,
Here is what I came up with. I have a Holley "Blue" pump, Holley says it pulls 3 amps. So since that is such a small power draw I deceided to go without a relay.
I pulled the ground wire off the fuel pump (I had installed quick release connections so I could change the pump on the side of the road if necessary) then taped into it and ran a wire into the trunk. I zip tied the inertia cut off to the roll bar and ran the ground wire to it then from the switch to ground. Works fine. If something screws up I can go to the pump and plug in the ground wire there, and I am good to go.
