Be sure you're hitting the spinners in the correct direction, look at the threads. I would do it with the tires off the ground. Use the lead hammer. Hit an ear, turn the wheel 120 degrees hit the ear and so forth.

The first time I took mine off it was very difficult. Just stay at it. Don't go nuts putting them back on, the pins take the torque load. Use anti-sieze and safety wire.
