Thank you for the info and the warning about costs. Fortunately I am not making a real car but a virtual version in 3D on the computer. Its a lot cheaper, cleaner, quicker, takes up less room and mistakes are easy to rectify but the downside of course is at the end you don´t get to drive the car, although that is strictly not the case as it will feature in a racing simulation eventually.
