Whe I had Nitto drag radials, they were very sticky but would pick up a lot of stuff on dirty asphalt. If you pick up a large enough stone at a high enough speed, they would make "star" cracks, especially on the front fenders. They can't be rubbed out because they start from the bottom of the paint. To protect the fenders, I lined the undersides with Dynamat, then sprayed the seams with plenty of rubberized undercoat.
