Different but similiar problem;

For years my ignition has been breaking up around 4200rpm, (I have a 5200rpm rev limiter chip in the MSD box). I had been running the wires from the box to the distributor and to the coil side by side... about a month ago I rerouted the distributor wire in a different path around the other side of the intake manifold and bingo! no more breakup.

I'm assuming that there was crosstalk between the two sets of wires. I never saw anything in the MSD literature warning that this could be a problem, but the wires do exit from different sides of the box.
