Oil pan bolt hole alignment is off for all the holes with the engine block. The alignment is close at the back end but gets worse toward the front. I have a late '70s 302 block stroked to 331 (steel girdle, Melling HV
oil pump). Toward the front the holes are half covered with the pan lip. Is this common? Should I just enlarge the holes and use bigger washers if need be? Thanks for your help.
