$1200 for 6 months is to much, keep shopping, but your options are limited. The insurer has to be licensed for business in Hawaii, that really limits you. Grundy will insure at a much better price BUT, the car needs to be valued at least $50K. You send them pics and your 'promo' and they will decided the value. Other forms of insurance at 'reasonable' price limits you to 'parades' and driving to and from 'car shows'. Of course the cheapest way is Geico, but they won't offer full coverage, just basic liability. If going with Geico use a name for the car OTHER THAN "Cobra". That word is a red flag. Call it what it is, an ASVE (assembled vehicle) for instance. Of COURSE it is a 'factory' car! It's all in how you word it. The LAST thing you want is a '1965 Cobra 427' The local Cobra Clan looks forward to meeting you sometime! Welcome to the club.

NOTE:
It was the local Cobra Clan that sponsored, testified and pushed through the House and Senate the recent "Cobra Bill". Allowing for the FIRST TIME the legal registration of a replica Cobra on Oahu. Before that? Well, we drove at night mostly and never in large groups, avoided car shows and were 'rebels' in general. Most of us figured out various ways to 'register' our Cobras (NEVER calling them that), it was complicated to say the least.
