It's been many years, but my recollection is the 289 Cobra had exhaust manifolds unique to themselves. If I'm correct, there are 2 per side ,they may even be the same pieces. The front 2 and the back 2 share a manifold with an exhaust pipe out, each presumably going to a common pipe. I hadn't thought about it until typing this, but they look(looked really, because it was many years ago) like they may have only been one casting used at all 4 places. It would have been a much simpler and inexpensive piece to make than 2 separate of 4 separate pieces.
