The pumps fitted to australian engines are unique to here, so the american pumps of either direction wont fit your timing cover.
You will need to do a 3 bolt timing cover swap as mentioned above if you want to run the older type pumps.
The aussie pumps are shorter than the american ones which may be an advantage in some kits
