Just to give you another data point. I have had mine for over 2 yrs with close to 6000 miles on it and no problems. I wouldn't say I have abused it, but there are a few autocross miles on it and I have been known to over power the tires on the street now and then.
Most of the time that is unintentional.
Engine is in the high 600s FWHP.
