i have tring to get my plates for a year now , got my sb100 and smog exsemption sticker from the bar and the chp checked the vin number stamped by the manufacturer but..... the dmv wants the 124 form with a re-assigned vin number in stead of the chp verified man. vin number. So make sure you get the new reassigned vin number first or be prepared for more hassels and more money and time wasted. Oh i forgot the dmv wants $611.00 more in addition to the $1041. i allready paid. the fun never ends !!!!! good luck all.
